Frequently Asked Questions

How do I request an appointment?

Call Rocky Hill at (860) 996-1569, call West Hartford at (959) 240-0250, or use the approved appointment link. A request does not guarantee an appointment.

What happens during an initial psychiatric evaluation?

The clinician reviews current concerns, medical and psychiatric history, medications, family and social context, and treatment goals. Screening forms, collateral information, laboratory work, physical evaluation, or referrals may be recommended when appropriate. The length depends on the provider and complexity; legacy practice information describes initial visits of approximately 60 to 90 minutes.

Which ages do you serve?

Age ranges differ by provider and service. The combined team includes clinicians whose published experience covers children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Call before scheduling to confirm an appropriate clinician.

Do you accept insurance?

Network participation varies by provider and location. Some services may be in network; others may be self-pay or out of network with a billing statement for possible reimbursement. Confirm coverage with both the office and the insurance plan before treatment.

Do you provide out-of-pocket services?

Yes. Self-pay appointments are available with Dr. Mohammad Dada, Dr. Rangsun Sitthichai, Dr. Mahreen Raza, Frank Grasso Jr., and Mary Patricia Daniels. Services, fees, visit formats, payment timing, and clinician availability vary; confirm the current options before scheduling.

What is the cancellation policy?

The legacy practices request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling and describe fees for late cancellations or missed visits. Confirm the current fee and policy when booking.

How do medication refills work?

Contact the pharmacy first. Use the practice-approved clinical communication method for refill questions and allow enough time before medication runs out. A medication may not be renewed at an initial consultation if the clinician needs more information or recommends a different plan.

Do I need a primary care provider?

An initial consultation may be possible without one, but ongoing medication treatment can require primary-care coordination, laboratory testing, or other medical follow-up. The treating clinician will explain what is needed.

What should I do in an emergency?

If anyone is in immediate danger or has a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Call or text 988 for free, confidential, 24/7 crisis support. In Connecticut, dial 211 for local health and human-service connections and access to mobile crisis support when appropriate. The website and ordinary email are not monitored for emergencies.
